Iconic footballer Christiano Ronaldo has left Europe to join the Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr. He had left the club Manchester United following a controversial interview criticising the club’s management. The Portuguese footballer has said that he is eager to experience a new football league in a different country. Al Nassr has made a historic signing in the emerging Asian market of the game.

Ronaldo will become the most salaried footballer in history at a reported amount of more than £ 177 million per year. The whopping financial offer from the club would help him to become the most-paid athlete in history. Ronaldo has earlier turned down an offer from another Saudi club, Al Hilal, which is reportedly around £ 305 million. The arrival of Ronaldo, one of the superstars in present-day football would boost the entire Asian football. Al Nassr has more plans in and out of the stadium with one of the most influential footballers of the generation. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has a contract until June 2025 with the club.
