Barbecues are the typical cookout fare, a crowd-pleasing, easy-cooking individual servings. The fact is everyone loves barbecue; it is the most fuss-free dining for anyone wanting to make a family outing memorable. Barbecue grills are not only a cookout dish, but also a big draw in most of the city restaurants, taking the pride of place among other mouthwatering dishes in the ala carte menu.

As covid-19 restrictions are in place and many are now forced to work from home, barbecue grilling has now taken over as the palatable antidote to WFH boredom. Aside from being a timepass and a boredom killer during monotonous days, they serve as the perfect non-fried, low fat chicken dish rich in protein and calories. Mostly prepared outdoors, they add flavor to the campfire meals with close friends or a fun outing with family.

Everyone out here must have had some chicken grilling experience to share with. Here we will try out an oven-made barbecue which is not only delicious but a healthy dish too. This oven barbecued chicken recipe requires mostly chicken thighs, but you can try it using your favorite meaty legs or breasts.

There are a few rules to be followed as you prepare to get the first taste of the oven barbecued chicken at home. After baking for about 50 minutes, you need to inspect the chunky leg pieces to make sure they’re not drying  out or overcooking. When it comes to the chicken breasts, check them after a total of 30 minutes baking to ensure they’re also not turning dry.

Oven barbecued chicken is an ideal meal for a hungry family looking to add some extra flavor for dinner. Further, it’s easy to prepare and goes well with mashed potatoes, garlic paste or with a slew of other side dishes. For many of us out here, this lighter barbeque is a no-nonsense side dish for a holiday outing. Packed with all the healthy ingredients and low in fat and calories, you would not be regretting trying out this recipe for a weekend feast.
